17 Oct Security in Collaboration-a push towards safety
James Peter Brokenshire, the young minister of Security from the UK ,representing the British Conservative Party, sees a lot of common ground between India and the UK. According to him the security threats arising out of terror are similar, and both nations have manpower and technological expertise also to share. He wants to push his country’s security and defence capabilities through collaborations .He was also seen bringing in a 25-strong business delegation, exclusively focused on security which visited New Delhi, Hyderabad and Mumbai.
As stated in a interview there were 3 major factors that marked this visit-
The growing 16.8 billion pound India-UK bilateral trade.
The recent Policy Paper on defence and security which underlines the potential for export, the scope for Government and private industry to grow the security industry.
