About

Gaurav has 12 years of experience as a Technology Attorney specializing in Patent and other forms of Intellectual property. After a stint with Siemens for around 4 years, he is now furthering on path to keeping its clients legally immune, commercially progressive and predominantly Innovative.

Gaurav is an expert patent drafter who knows the ins and outs of the patent processes and the innovation ecosystem around the world. He is accustomed to handling drafting Patent specifications and responding to Office Actions/Examination reports for various jurisdictions USPTO, EPO, SIPO, IPOS, KIPO, WIPO, etc. He also has extensive experience in Invention disclosure formulation, interviewing the inventors, capturing the Invention, building the Invention Disclosure document, including performing novelty searches, identifying specific Novelty in the Invention Disclosure Document, and making it ready to be filed as the Provisional Specification.

He has also helped clients build entire patent portfolio from scratch over the years. During his tenure with Siemens, he was involved in gamut of activities like technology transfer issues, trademark licensing, harvesting inventions, managing Patent portfolios, managing compliances for Trademarks and Copyrights, Policy making and implementations, etc. He has been involved in Patent Specification preparation and Office action response for the Energy sector including Turbines, Renewable Energy, Solar Energy, etc. In addition to Patent Specification preparation and Office actions, we have carried out Invention Harvesting, Novelty Searches, and other types of Patent searches too in the Energy sector.

As a subsequent process to filing, he also has experience maintaining the Patent Filing dockets. He regularly counsels clients on patent matters with a focus on the strategic development and procurement of patent portfolios focusing on mechanical, electronic, software-related technology especially computer implemented inventions, energy and automation technologies. He also has substantial experience in performing and counselling clients on various FTO’s, validity/ invalidity searches and instituting various oppositions as a strategic business continuance activity for his clients.
