About
Dr. Sridhar Mothe is a Partner at Singhania and Co. LLP, Solicitors & Advocates, Hyderabad Office. With 35 years of experience in both government and private sectors, he specializes in administering contracts for infrastructure projects. Dr. Mothe holds a Civil Engineering degree from Osmania University and a postgraduate degree from I.I.T. Madras. He joined the Central Engineering Services (IES) in 1987 and later pursued a law degree and a postgraduate diploma in ADR from NALSAR. He also earned a Ph.D. in contract management.
He has led the Contracts & Claims of building division at NCC Ltd. and the Contracts & Legal department at SEW Infrastructure Ltd. Dr. Mothe is experienced in handling claims, litigations, and disputes in Arbitrations, Dispute Resolution Boards (DRBs), and conciliations. He is well-versed in administering various types of contracts, FIDIC contracts and is an expert in delay analysis methodologies.
Dr. Mothe has presented over 50 papers at national and international seminars and journals. He serves as visiting faculty in numerous training and teaching institutions like the Engineering Staff College of India, Manipal Law School, NICMAR, the Administrative Staff College of India, the National Academy of Construction (NAC). He authored the book "Infrastructure Contracts and Management," published by Asia Law House.
He received the "Engineer of the Year 2022" award from the Institution of Engineers and the "Vishwa Karma Award" in 2023 from the Construction Industry Development Council. Dr. Sridhar Mothe continues to be a leading figure in the construction industry, known for his expertise in contract management and commitment to education.
